CityBuild Academy is an 18 week pre-apprenticeship program that teaches and trains San Francisco residents about a number of construction trades. CityBuild Academy is not only a hands on course but has a rigorous academic schedule as well. Students enrolled in the course will have in-classroom and practical experience, giving them marketable skills and a competitive edge in the bustling construction industry.
CityBuild partnerships include but are not limited to: the Mayor’s Office of Economic Workforce and Development, Charity Cultural Services Center,APRI, Anders and Anders, Boyett, Cahill, DPR, Herrero-Boldt, Hathaway Dinwiddie, Millennium Partners, Webcor Builders, Swinerton Builders, Turner, and Townsend Management.
What is the CityBuild Curriculum?
The CityBuild program includes Construction Industry Orientation, Apprentice Structure, Math for Construction, Job Safety Training, Tool and Material Identification, Intro to Structural Steel and Ironwork, Framing, etc.
